DHL accelerates parcel unloading thanks to new telescopic boom conveyors

At DHL’s facility in Beek (NL), the recent installation of two FMH Conveyors telescopic boom conveyors has significantly boosted unloading efficiency. These conveyors, equipped with a specially developed belt transfer, allow parcels to be quickly fed to the sorter positioned at a higher level. The operator platform at the front of the telescopic conveyors enhances the speed and ease of processing high-cube trailers with diverse cargo.

As a result, the unloading time for incoming trailers has been drastically reduced. Operators can now unload an entire high-cube trailer in just 45 minutes, allowing them to quickly move on to other tasks in the distribution center, increasing overall productivity.
